3D nanorulers from the GATTA-PAINT series are the ideal resolution rulers for any type of 3D localization-based super-resolution microscope. Due to the mechanism for providing the blinking kinetics, which is based on the DNA-PAINT technology, the samples are nearly free of photo bleaching. The samples consist of two spots or rings oriented in axial direction to study the resolution capabilities in z.

The GATTA-PAINT 3D HiRes 80R Expert Line is a nanoruler with two spots seperated by 80 nm. For DNA-PAINT imaging we use ATTO 655 imagers. The ruler allows the experimental determination of the refractive index mismatch between glass and water phase, which is fundamental for 3D measurements. Therefore the sample shows a broader angular distrubution with standing, tilted and lying rulers (mainly upright), from which one can determine the correction factor for the refractive index mismatch. The latest version of our GATTAnalysis software has an automated fitting algorithm implemented. More information can be found in Schmied, J. J. et al. Further the ruler contains DNA-PAINT-based fiducial markers known from our HiRes series to support drift-correction. The GATTA-PAINT 3D HiRes 80R nanoruler is only recommended for very experienced users having profound knowledge and experience with 3D imaging.
The GATTA-PAINT 3D 30R Ultimate Line is a nanoruler with two parallel rings with a distance of 30 nm, with each ring having a diameter of 23 nm. For DNA-PAINT imaging we use ATTO 655 imagers. This nanoruler is only recommended for very experienced users focussing on 4Pi or super critical angle systems.
